Sanford’s LGM unitized wall designs and wall panel structural fastening schemes extend design flexibility to the Architect/Engineer/Builder through our offering of numerous cladding options including barrier wall and rainscreen systems, simplified and fully coordinated joinery details between claddings, ability to fabricate elaborate or complex aesthetic project requirements, installation of all envelope claddings including windows, and project specific wall panel connection methodology affording panel joinery to be architecturally driven, not structurally so.

Speed/Shortened Construction Schedule:

Using the unitized method of construction DRAMATICALLY saves time in the project’s construction schedule. This is typically achieved in four primary areas: 1. Simultaneous construction fabrication where wall panels are being shop fabricated while the building’s foundations and structural frame erection are ongoing in the field. 2. Wall fabrication is weather INDEPENDENT because wall units are built indoors, in our climate controlled factory buildings. 3. Complete wall panel are installed from claddings to studs so the floor is ready for the next construction sequence. 4. Large areas can be erected in one day due to greater panel size and lessened panel weight, affording faster turnovers to other trades/firms.

Site Logistics Solution:

The unitized wall construction approach minimizes the amount of work required to be performed at the job site. No scaffolding, material storage, or equipment staging is required during wall installations, which allows for better site flow and access for other trades to install their work. Sanford’s LGM unitized walls simplify job site coordination and minimize personnel safety exposures.

Superior Quality:

Sanford wall panels are fabricated by skilled tradesmen in a climate controlled environment. Materials used are installed to strict manufacturer’s recommendations (including temperature and humidity requirements), under a stringent QA/QC program. All shipped panels are protected during shipping to ensure the desired factory precise finish arrives and is installed at the project site.

Complete Engineering:

Sanford has its own in house engineering department with licensed engineers having combined direct industry experience of over 75 years. Sanford’s engineers prepare complete and detailed shop drawings for each project. Our engineers work diligently with other vendors and trades to ensure all facets of the project’s envelope are properly detailed and coordinated so that the full envelope design intent and function is realized. Single Source Responsibility:

Sanford’s unitized wall envelope systems afford single source responsibility for the exterior envelope. Once single contract results in les field coordination/ contract issue, greater production and faster delivery; less change orders; less potential for leaks and punctures from multiple trades working on the same area.
